In carrying out its basic responsibility of preserving and managing the sustainable use of natural resources, artifacts and developing tourism, the Ministry has been directed to carry out the following tasks: Prepare various policies, laws, regulations, strategies and guidelines aimed at developing the sub-sectors under it; patrolling in and out of wildlife reserves and forests; build the capacity of institutions that manage natural resources, antiquities and develop tourism;

To conduct research and provide training through the colleges under it; to manage the collection of results from the sustainable use of natural resources and antiquities and tourism activities; to ensure that citizens are involved in the conservation of natural resources and antiquities; develop the tourism industry; and classify programs to facilitate access to funds and tools.
